War Hero GOP Candidate Responds To SNL Mocking Him, Destroys SNL With Dignity, Class & Wisdom

“Saturday Night Live” cast member Pete Davidson, fresh off a humiliating break-up with pop star Ariana Grande, took out his frustrations and his ill humor on a GOP candidate and war hero. For shame young man, for shame, and worse, it wasn’t even funny.

No, it was just schoolyard bullying, more sophomoric mocking from a show famous for it. In this case, they mocked a man’s appearance, well beneath any standards of good taste, especially considering the guy is a war hero.

A love sick Davidson mocked Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who lost his eye in an IED blast in Afghanistan, for the wound he suffered serving this country. What a jerk.

“This guy is kind of cool — Dan Crenshaw,” said Davidson during a “Weekend Update” segment. A photo of Crenshaw wearing his eyepatch flashed on the screen, “You may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit-man in a porno movie.  I’m sorry, I know he lost his eye in war, or whatever.”

Enter Dan Crenshaw. He responded with class, dignity, and wisdom and put that show in its place: “Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended. That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes,” he tweeted.

Some journalists who know Crenshaw piled on: “Dan Crenshaw did three tours BEFORE losing the eye. After he lost the eye, he went back and did two more.” “This is absolutely disgusting. The guy did three combat tours as a Navy SEAL. Not funny in any way, shape or form.”
