Ukrainian Foreign Minister Denies Media Reports Trump Pressured Country Improperly: “I know what the conversation was about and I think there was no pressure

As the presidential race heats up, the dirt starts flying. Not surprisingly the only ones caught flat-footed were the Democrats.

It will be interesting if any Dem candidate jumps on the Joe Biden/Hunter Biden story to go for a knockout blow and vault themselves to the top of the heap. They have been awful silent…neither trashing Trump or defending Biden.

Even if the story is false, Biden’s response or lack of (it took him over 4 hours to respond to the story  – someone needs to remind Joe and his staff that it is 2019 and not 2008) is fair game for the Dem candidates.

Biden mumbled something about no credible outlet covering it which caused Trump to hit back with a mashup (see it below) of the outlets covering it.

Now, if you listen to the media Trump is guilty of high crimes but none of them have the full story so we must question them.

What we do know is that the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko just denied the media reports that Trump pressured the country.

From Reuters:

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vadym Prystaiko denied suggestions U.S. President Donald Trump had put pressure on Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskiy during a phone call, in an interview to local media outlet Hromadske on Saturday.

On Friday reports by U.S. media outlets said Trump repeatedly pressured Ukraine’s president to investigate Joe Biden, one of Trump’s chief political rivals, in a July phone call.

“I know what the conversation was about and I think there was no pressure,” Prystaiko said. “This conversation was long, friendly, and it touched on many questions, sometimes requiring serious answers.”
