Trump Takes Off Kid Gloves, Absolutely Destroys Michael Cohen

In what can only be considered a Friday news dump Michael Cohen’s lawyers released their sentencing memo.

These are where both sides lay out what they think the sentence should be and list any factors contributing to their conclusions.

Despite Cohen pleading guilty to serious financial and tax crimes, Cohen’s lawyers want him to serve no jail time. Noe, they are saying Cohen cooperated against Trump and deserves zero prison time.

Now, we have not seen the prosecutors sentencing memo nor heard from the judge so we don’t know how much time he will serve.

Enter President Trump, back from Argentina and probably just made aware of Cohen’s attempt to avoid justice on his back.

“Michael Cohen asks judge for no Prison Time.” You mean he can do all of the TERRIBLE, unrelated to Trump, things having to do with fraud, big loans, Taxis, etc., and not serve a long prison term? He makes up stories to get a GREAT & ALREADY reduced deal for himself, and get…..

….his wife and father-in-law (who has the money?) off Scott Free. He lied for this outcome and should, in my opinion, serve a full and complete sentence.”

Trump is referring to his dodgy business dealings in the taxi business and how he was trying to hide what was left of it after the Uber and Lyft destroyed the market.

It is also very important to point out that Cohen introduced Trump to a convicted fraudster Felix Sater.

“I will never testify against Trump.” This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about “President Trump.” Nice to know that some people still have “guts!…

Bob Mueller (who is a much different man than people think) and his out of control band of Angry Democrats, don’t want the truth, they only want lies. The truth is very bad for their mission!” Trump added.

From CNN: Michael Cohen has asked a US judge for no prison time, citing, as he reveals in a new court filing, more details about his conversations with then-candidate Donald Trump about plans for a Trump Tower in Moscow.

Cohen’s attorneys argued that his cooperation with multiple investigations, including the special counsel’s Russia probe, and the impact and suffering on Cohen and his family merits avoiding jail. But the filing late Friday night goes even further in tying the President to Cohen’s actions.

The new filing suggests in the clearest language yet the extent to which Cohen kept Trump informed of his efforts to move the project to build a Trump Tower in Moscow forward well into June 2016, including consideration of a trip to Moscow that summer, while Trump was moving closer to becoming the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party.

“In fact, Michael had a lengthy substantive conversation with the personal assistant to a Kremlin official following his outreach in January 2016, engaged in additional communications concerning the project as late as June 2016, and kept Client-1 apprised of these communications,” the lawyers wrote. Trump is referred to as “Client-1” throughout the filing.
