Fox News Scolds Hannity And Pirro For Helping Trump Last Night

The new management at Fox News has often been considered to be more liberal than the team that started and grew the conservative network.

Fox News knew who it was, what it stood for and who it stood with and that seems to have all changed. The brass at Fox News must surely know Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro are opinion reporters and do not do straight news.

They take a conservative point of view and Fox News knows that and encourages it – that’s why they get the ratings. CNN plays it straight in a partisan world and their ratings are in the tank.

MSNBC chooses to go the Fox route and mix in opinion shows like Maddow in to bring in the ratings. So it was a real head scratcher when the brass at Fox came out and scolded Sean Hannity and Judge Pirro for helping out their friend President Trump last night.

As reported by The Hill: Fox News says it “does not condone” its hosts “participating in campaign events” as Sean Hannity and Jeanine Pirro did during a campaign rally with President Trump in Missouri on Monday night.

A network spokesperson on Tuesday called the event “an unfortunate distraction” that “has been addressed.”

“FOX News does not condone any talent participating in campaign events,” read a statement to The Hill. “We have an extraordinary team of journalists helming our coverage tonight and we are extremely proud of their work. This was an unfortunate distraction and has been addressed.”

Hannity took to Twitter to also address the controversy: “What I said in my tweet yesterday was 100% truthful,” he wrote to his more than 3.8 million followers. “When the POTUS invited me on stage to give a few remarks last night, I was surprised, yet honored by the president’s request. This was NOT planned.”
